Yes, the Admeet cookie consent banner manages the user’s consent.
This cookie consent is stored locally on the user’s terminal for a maximum period of six months. It is also stored, anonymously, in a database accessible to you at any time via the Admeet software.
The user can decide which categories he/she will or will not consent to by checking or unchecking the boxes of the relevant cookie categories.

It does not require user prior consent before installation on her/his device. The cookie will be automatically included in your Admeet cookie policy.
The consent mechanism allows you to access your users’ consent history at any time and to provide proof of consent.
The consent is linked to a unique code, stored locally on the user’s terminal as well as in the database to which you have access. This code is randomly generated for every user and is not linked to any personal data.
This process does not require the collection of any personal data on our side and the user is therefore not directly identifiable via the Admeet software.
The consent is linked to a unique code, stored locally on the user’s terminal as well as in the database to which you have access. By communicating this code to you, the user can identify herself/ himself and you can prove consent on the basis of this data.
Data stored in the consent database are: the unique ID, date and time of consent, domain name, categories of cookie and the button used to confirm consent.
This data is linked to a single website and is collected anonymously. It allows the Admeet client to understand behaviour on its cookie banner and to generate aggregate data reports.
Once you have filled all the required information and validated your policies, the software will create a specific script that you will need to integrate on your website. Our policies make use of an iFrame and are easy to integrate.
The cookie banner requires slightly more integration work, therefore we recommend that you ask your web team to take care of this.

The GDPR states that where a processing is based on consent, you need to be able to demonstrate that the data subject has consented to the processing of her/his personal data. This is also the case for the use of non-essentials cookies and other tracking technologies.
In their most recent guidelines about cookies, the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) has specifically confirmed the need to be able to prove consent related to the use of non-essential cookies and other tracking technologies.
Whenever you plan to collect personal data, and regardless of the medium used, you must provide a set of mandatory information to the individuals concerned before the collection of their data.
Data subjects can be your customers, prospects, users of the website, suppliers, etc.
The policies created by Admeet allow you to display your privacy policy in a clear way and with an intelligible language.
Every company that uses cookies on its website needs a cookie policy and a cookie banner.
You have the legal obligation to inform individuals that you intend to place cookies on their device and provide information on the cookies you intend to use.
Cookies that require prior consent of individuals can not be placed before individuals have provided their consent. Once non-essential cookies are installed on the user device, you must be able to prove users’ consent at any time.
Your cookie policy is always part of your privacy policy.
Admeet allows you to easily link your cookie policy to your privacy policy.
Having transparent and easy-to-understand policies for your targeted audience is a legal GDPR requirement.
You need to update your policies regularly.
A privacy policy can be updated when you collect new additional data, for different data processing purposes or if any other legally required information in your privacy policy changes (e.g. following a change of official guideline or case law).
A cookie policy needs to display all the cookies that you have on your website. If a new cookie is added, your cookie policy needs to be updated.
Make sure you scan your website regularly in order to update your cookie policy.
Having compliant policies and a cookie banner is a legal obligation under the GDPR. At the moment evaluation of articles 12, 13 and 14 can result in a fine of 4% of your annual turnover.
Furthermore a qualitative privacy notice allows to build trust with your customer and is a commercial advantage.
